Cineraria "Dreams" Senecio cruentus

Dreams has a very uniform and compant plant habit and produces many 3-4? cm flowers in a beautiful colour range.
With the massive number of flowers and its dark green foliage, Cineraria Dreams is a unique product.
Dreams is available as a mixture and in the following 12 separate colours:
Antique Purple, Lavender Rose, Blue, Blue Bicolour, Crimson, Pink, Cherry, Rose, Rose-Pink, Sky Blue, Violet Bicolour and White.

Sowing Media:Lightly fertilized peat.

Sowing: In trays or broadcast. Until germination, place the trays in a germination chamber or on benches covered with plastic.
Cineraria needs light to germinate.

Germination temperature:21-24° C (70-75° F).

Time to germinate:Approx 8 days. After germination the temperature is lowered to 18 - 20° (64- 68° F).

Potting:4 weeks from sowing.

Pot size:11 - 15 cm.

Potting medium:Fully fertilized peat.

Production:Maintain 14-16° C (57-61° F) during 3-4 weeks after potting.
When the plants are growing well reduce the water supply to prevent plants from growing too vegetative.
Using N.P.K. fertilizer it is important to keep an equal balance between N. and K.
3-4 weeks after potting the temperature must be reduced to 8-10° C (46-50° F) for 6-8 weeks to induce flowering.
After the cooling period the temparature should be increased to 11-14° C (52-57° F9 depending on the development of the buds.
During growth it is important to control the plant size by drying the plants between every watering, keeping good air circulation, high light intensity and spacing on time.
These conditions as well as pot size and starting the cooling period in time are important to get a well sized Cineraria.

Growth regulator:If necessary spray 1 or 2 times with Alar during the first part of the growing period in the sales pot.
